TechPro Standard Installation Guide: Fire Alarm System
1. Fire Risk Assessment

Conduct assessment based on building size, usage, and regulations.
- Divide premises into fire zones.

Identify necessary components: smoke detectors, heat detectors,
manual call points, alarm sounders, control panel.
2. System Design
- Design system as per EN54 or equivalent standard.
- Use addressable systems for medium to large buildings.
3. Installation
a. Detector Placement
- Mount smoke detectors on ceilings, 50 cm from walls.
- Install heat detectors in kitchens or boiler rooms.

Manual call points should be installed at all exits, 1.2m height.
b. Control Panel
- Install in reception or near main entrance.
- Label zones clearly on panel and building layout.
c. Cabling
- Use fire-rated cable and metallic conduits.
- Secure cables at regular intervals.
- Ensure loops are closed in addressable systems.
4. Power and Backup

Provide 24V DC regulated power with automatic battery backup.
- Test batteries under load.
5. Testing and Commissioning
- Test all devices with test smoke and heat.
- Simulate alarms and verify system response.
- Record test results and submit commissioning report.
6. Training and Handover

Provide user training on silencing, resetting, and responding to
alarms.
- Hand over system logbook and zone map.
